MENTORSHIP EDUCATION NETWORK (M.E.N.)
In the Beginning
During the school year, students are provided with mentors to encourage and enhance their academic and social development. The "100" utilizes school facilities and offices of our corporate partners to provide programming and mentoring.

Our Approach
Each month, during the academic year, participating youth visit various places and events around the Valley. Responsible male adults accompany the participants on these trips. Many times the designated place is the company and/or profession of a mentor. Our goal is to have youth interact with responsible adult male role models. Hence the motto of the 100 Black Men of America is “What they see is What they’ll be”
In addition to the field trip experiences, youth receive guidance and support from responsible adult mentors to help them develop strong social skills and effective study habits. When appropriate, mentors accompany mentees to additional extracurricular activities such as plays, museums, ballgames, etc. Mentors also provide both mentoring and capacity building trainings to parents.
